Perform a product analysis of a consumable that you use on a regular basis. The product chosen should be specific enough to be covered in depth. For example, the topic of chocolate is too broad, but Ghirardelli Intense Dark 92% cacao dark chocolate is appropriate; pen is too broad, but a Sharpie black permanent marker is appropriate. For the sake of variety, these two topics (Ghirardelli chocolate and Sharpies) may NOT be covered; use these as examples to come up with something specific and relevant to your own experiences. Also, keep topics simple: computers, phones, and cars are far too complex to be adequately explored in this assignment.
Perform a product analysis of your chosen item:
What is it? – Describe the product, its typical uses, and the history of its development.
What is it made of? – Discuss the raw materials that are used to create this product.
How is it made? – Examine the creation process of this product, such as the R&D, extraction, and assembly processes. Explore any concerns about worker conditions or public health related to these processes.
What does it cost? – Present the economic cost to purchase this product, as well as the environmental and social costs to create it.
How can we improve upon it? – Contemplate how this product could become more sustainable, in terms of efficiency, environmental health, and social conditions.
Write a formal paper on your product analysis. Papers should be approximately 2,500 words in length; papers less than 2,000 words, or more than 3,000 words, will receive a point deduction. This paper must conform to APA standards; title and reference pages are required. This assignment should be done individually; all submissions will be analyzed for plagiarism.

Your initial draft will be distributed to the other members of your peer review group, so make sure this draft is something you are ready to share and discuss with your peers. The initial draft portion of this assignment is worth 10 points; there are no partial points for this grade and drafts that are submitted late will not receive any credit for this portion of the assignment.
