Identify a specific problem related to the global challenge you chose. If you chose global warming as your challenge and California as the region for your last assignment, you now need to address a particular issue within that region. For example, you can identify the prevalence of wildfires in California as the problem, or you can also identify the water shortage as the problem.
Using the Ecological Model to identify contributors to the problem (individual layer, social, environmental layer, physical environment layer, policy layer). Rationale: I decided to choose food security and health as my topic because I grew up in Chicago and I witnessed how so many friends and family members didn’t have consistent access to quality foods. As a result, I watched their body/overall health progressively get worse. This situation made me realize that all individuals should have resources to supply them with proper and healthful foods.
