Feedback for Quantitative Analysis
Overall Feedback
You have some excellent information in your project, and I enjoyed reviewing it. Instead of trying to make comments in the file, your comments are below.
On the Sorted Data tab, you didn’t sort by Region and your subtotals are not correct, perhaps because they included other totals that each region.
Your explanation for standard deviation should be a little more specific for each of the areas. You gave some good information, but I was looking for information such as “The standard deviation for salary is high/low and this suggests that XXX.”
This is information of your knowledge and you don’t need to revise your answer to this question. While it appears that the company is not very diverse just looking at the numbers, if you review the populations in the areas where the offices are located, you will find that the company is more diverse than the population in some ways. Also consider the available applicants for the jobs. Women have historically not entered the STEM fields as much as men, so the numbers of qualified women may be lower than the expected 50%.
Your summary and analysis are good and pointed out some important issues that the company should examine. Your ideas about diversity and attracting more women and minorities are excellent. You also pointed out that a survey of the employees would help determine how they view the company and whether the results are “good or bad” for the company.
